General Launch To-do
Publishing Drafts on WordPress
You can write your Letter from the Editor at any point during the issue page formation, or before if you want to launch it swiftly.
A letter to the editor is simple, and there’s really no right or wrong way to do it. It can be a short letter or long as some editors have previously preferred. While there is not set format, ideally, this letter should discuss some aspect of the revision process or this round’s cycle. It can connect to another core value or talk your experience as editor and your own interpretation of The Orange Couch. One way to end it is by mentioning those who took part in the project.
So, you’re done drafting most or all of the pieces being published in your current issue cycle? Now it’s time to finally get the issue page ready!
Once you’re logged onto the TOC WordPress, go to your Dashboard > look for “Pages.”
There should be a section with all the current pages, which are in alphabetical order. Locate the last issue (for this example, we’ll be using Issue 4).
When you hover over it, there should be an option, typically the last option on the vertical list that states “Duplicate This.” Click this button.
Above the one you duplicated, there will appear a new issue with the same name, followed by an em dash and the word “Draft.”
Select the “Edit” option to be taken to edit the issue.
