The administrators and coordinators in the Writing Center oversee and coordinate all the work we do. The director oversees the center and advocates for it, while associate directors lead programs and initiatives. Coordinators lead specific programs and act as liaisons between the center and the university community.

Matthew Pearson, Director
The associate directors lead a range of Writing Center programs and initiatives, including operations, professional development, and The Mentoring Program. They work with the director to hire, mentor, and supervise Writing Center staff members, including coordinators, Graduate Assistants, Student Managers, Student Leaders and Writing Center Tutors. The associate directors collaborate with faculty and staff across departments to support the teaching and learning of writing across campus.

Coordinators lead the Writing Center’s programs including Writing Fellow Tutoring and the Teams . Within their leadership roles, they act as the primary liaisons among the Writing Center, the DePaul community, and writers beyond the University. Coordinators work with the director and associate directors to hire new Writing Center Tutors.
