WordPress Settings
- Be mindful of different types of readers — some will read in full, some will scan. Organize your writing using headers and subheaders to take advantage of WordPress’s affordances.
- Use a Gutenberg Block Editor rather than Classic.
- Use all blocks appropriately (i.e. header for headers, paragraph for text, etc.)
- Don’t leave unneeded space at the bottom of the paragraph block.
- Align image blocks with the paragraph and heading blocks.
- Utilize “Cover Template” not “Default Template.”
- Ensure contributors know how to save posts as “Pending for Review” and that all writers have an up-to-date account.
- Ensure each post has a duotone featured image set to “Large Featured Image” under masonry using UCWbL’s brand colors.
