Effective July 1, 2024, all staff are eligible for paid sick leave and paid leave, accrued at a rate of 1 hour of sick leave and 1 hour of paid leave for every 35 hours worked.
You enter any accrued paid sick leave or paid leave you want to use on your timesheet.
From DePaul University Human Resources department on July 1, 2024:
Paid Sick Leave, which is covered under DePaul’s Sick Time, Short and Long-Term Disability policy, is intended to be used when you are sick or you are taking care of a sick family member.
Paid Leave, which is covered under a new Paid Leave policy, is intended to be used for any reason.
